All that is over now, though, and we're settling in at home again. Since people haven't stopped expecting to eat every few hours, it's back to the drawing board for me where meals are concerned.
Here's the {tentative} plan:
Breakfasts:
- Baked peanut butter oatmeal
- Scrambled eggs and bananas
- Breakfast cookies, bananas
- Pancake bar
Dinner:
- Grilled sausage sandwiches on grilled flatbread, salad, watermelon
- Slow cooker scalloped potatoes with ham, salad
- Dinner by the Big Helper, still to be determined
- Grilled fish, baked potatoes, salad
- Leftovers
- Cookout with friends: hot dogs, baked corn, watermelon, brownies/s'mores
- Foil babies - sausages, potatoes, peppers, and onions grilled, fruit
I'd like to get a few things made and put in the freezer for the upcoming sports season, but realistically ... it's gorgeous out today and could be most of the week. If that's the case, we'll be spending as much time outside as possible, so ... that might have to wait until next week.
What are you cooking this week?
