Great Big Christmas Giveaway: Betsy with Pampered Chef

Today's giveaway is perfect for those of you who like to cook - or who need a great Christmas gift for someone who does.  Betsy is a Pampered Chef consultant who really knows her way around the kitchen.  She has some tips for making those holiday kitchen marathons both fun and easy - and she's giving away some great prizes, too!

Ask anyone how they are doing this time of the year and you are sure to hear something along the lines of “overwhelmed”, “busy” or “I can’t wait until the holiday rush is over!” Even for those of us who are dedicated to keeping the reason for the season at the heart of all we do this month and every month, it is still a juggling act to balance all of life demands…..especially in December. I am so grateful to work with Pampered Chef® who stresses the importance of maintaining time together as a family around the table and is committed to creating products that make time in the kitchen fun, easy and quick!

Take, for instance, the “Deep Covered Baker” also known among Pampered Chef® consultants as the “Magic Pot.” It is the single-most popular product that has been at the top of all my hosts’ lists and the reason is clear—you can cook so many delicious and healthy recipes in under thirty minutes for less than $3 a serving. That’s a deal! From artisan bread to chicken parmesan soup to chocolate lava cake or a roasted chicken…it all magically comes together in the magic pot while you decorate the Christmas tree or address holiday card envelopes! Loaded Baked Potato Soup is a favorite of my family and will rival any restaurant’s version.

Anyone cringe when you see your holiday recipe calls for minced garlic and you know your hands will smell for days?! We have a tool for that!

The garlic press is another one of my customer’s favorite tools. It keeps your hands from touching the garlic pod by allowing you to place the garlic- with the skin on- in the press and it does all the work, pressing the garlic through the skin into your recipe. It’s so much fun to use that some of my customers have complained that their husbands end up putting garlic in everything…..even their scrambled eggs! Fresh minced garlic has wonderful health benefits that will only help you this time of the year. Just make sure you buy peppermints too!

Or, how about the often impersonated but not quite duplicated, food chopper?! It can easily cut your time in half as you chop celery, onions, nuts, chocolate, eggs, chicken and more in a matter of seconds! The best part? It is a blast to use and is dishwasher-safe (hello, more free time!).

And, there are so many tools…..

So, may I challenge you to see your time in the kitchen this holiday season as a gift to your family, instead of “one more thing you have to do.” Cooking can be fun and easy if you have the right tools! And, cooking delicious, healthy, less expensive foods is just one of the many ways you can easily let your friends and family know that despite the chaos of the holiday season, you are not overwhelmed in the kitchen! Head over to my Facebook page- “Betsy Cooking with Pampered Chef” for more recipes and tips! (The Loaded Baked Potato Soup is the recipe for today!)
