The Rock Solid Faith Study Bible for Teens is written in the NIV version.  It has lots of features designed especially for our youth, who need resources available to help them find answers as their faith is challenged, often in big struggles or 'real world' ways.

To meet that need, the Rock Solid Faith Study Bible has several features that are designed to help teens face the struggles that are unique to that stage of life. These take the form of special inset sections throughout the Bible that further explain, define, or share stories related to scripture.  Some of these include Rock Solid Truths, which "examines Christian beliefs;" Promises, which emphasizes promises that God makes throughout the Bible; Principles, which applies scripture to relationships, money, sex, and other issues facing teens today; and Plans, which explores God's plan for our lives.  Following the theme of being solid, this Bible contains two other special features, Unshaken People, which provides examples of Biblical figures who overcame obstacles, and Unshaken God, which points out God's character.

You'll find these features placed beside relevant scripture throughout the Bible, but my favorite part of these features is the special listing for each one in the back.  By dividing each of the above features and then alphabetizing by topic, it's easy to find more information about a specific topic or character.  This type of listing makes these features uber-useful.  Even more importantly, a special "map" at the beginning of the book shows you how to find and use each of these features.

This Bible also has many features that are popular in other Bibles, like a concordance, eight pages of full color maps, a concordance, and an introduction to each book that gives background and author information.

If you have a teen who is searching, who wants to know the Bible better, who answers lots of questions for friends, or who isn't asking yet but you think may one day, this is a great resource.  The inset information is clear, concise, and honest, targeted directly at the issues teens face today.
